La mujer convicta de asesinar a la estrella tejana Selena perdió el miércoles una apelación en el Tribunal de Apelaciones Penales de Texas porque presentó su pedido en el condado equivocado.Yolanda Saldívar pidió al tribunal que ordenara la tramitación de la apelación que incoó hace nueve años, pero los jueces fallaron que debió haberla presentado en el condado de Harris, donde fue procesada y condenada por el crimen de 1995.
Saldívar, quien cumple cadena perpetua, confesó el asesinato cometido en un motel de Corpus Christi.
Su juicio se trasladó a Houston, en el condado de Harris, y el tribunal de apelaciones dijo que una solicitud para apelar fue presentada indebidamente en el condado de Nueces en el 2000.
La corte de apelaciones también dijo el miércoles que la orden que Saldívar buscaba no era apropiada porque ella nunca mostró que la solicitud para su apelación fue al condado donde la hallaron culpable.
